Answers about face payments, vendor tools, wallets, mobile money, requests, and your account.
How do face payments work?+
Enroll your face with consent in Account → Security → Face payments, and create your six-digit payment PIN. At a vendor terminal, a live scan identifies your enrolled account. Review the customer, merchant, and amount, then approve the wallet charge with your payment PIN. Settlement is currently limited to demo accounts.
Can any account make a face payment today?+
Face enrollment is available, but the live payment service currently limits face-payment settlement to designated demo accounts. The website walkthrough is an illustration. It does not scan your face or move money.
Can the face terminal charge my mobile money account?+
The current face-payment terminal uses your KAB PAY wallet balance in the charge currency. It cannot proceed with insufficient funds. Mobile money checkout is a separate option in the regular payment flow.
Is my payment PIN the same as a passkey or mobile money PIN?+
No. Your KAB PAY payment PIN has six digits and approves vendor payments. Create or change it in Account settings. A passkey is a separate way to sign in, and your mobile money PIN belongs to your mobile money provider.
How do I open the vendor terminal?+
Turn on Accept payments in Account settings, then open Terminal from the app navigation. Enter a charge amount and let the enrolled customer complete identification and PIN approval. Face-payment settlement is currently limited to demo accounts.
What do I need for a face scan?+
Use an internet connection and a supported camera-enabled device or browser. Allow camera access, use good lighting, remove face coverings, and follow the live prompts. Face enrollment requires consent; a photo uploaded on this website cannot enroll or approve a payment.
Can I withdraw to a bank account or mobile money?+
Yes, the app offers withdrawal requests to mobile money or a bank account. Enter the amount, account holder name, destination details, and requested bank or network information. Requests may need provider processing or manual payout. Check the status rather than assuming a request has arrived.
Can I use a card, bank transfer, or Apple Pay?+
Paystack checkout for top-ups and shared requests can offer card, mobile money, bank transfer, or Apple Pay, depending on device, currency, and provider availability. The regular Send payment selector offers KAB PAY wallet or mobile money. Checkout is currently in test mode.
How do I pay a QR code or request code?+
Open Pay a request, then scan the QR code or enter the shared request code. You can also open the request link directly. Check the amount, currency, recipient, and note, enter your email, and continue to checkout.
What does Send again do?+
On an eligible transaction, Send again prepares the previous payment details for another payment. Review the recipient, amount, currency, and funding source before confirming; opening it does not automatically send money.
Can I update my details or delete my account?+
Use Account settings to edit your profile, update your password, add a passkey, manage your payment PIN, turn vendor mode on or off, sign out, or request account deletion. Clear transaction history removes local records for the current session; it is separate from an account-deletion request.
Why does the app show test mode?+
The current Paystack configuration uses test checkout. Do not treat a test checkout or an illustrative website receipt as confirmation of a real payment. Face-payment settlement is separately restricted to demo accounts.
Do I need to add money before I can pay?+
Only when you choose to pay from your KAB PAY wallet and its balance is too low. You can instead choose mobile money through Paystack without topping up first.
How do mobile money payments work?+
Choose mobile money as your funding source, review your payment, then approve the charge through Paystack using your own mobile money account. Mobile money payments currently use GHS.
What happens if my wallet balance is too low?+
The app offers Add money or Pay with mobile money. If you add money, return to the payment and confirm it separately. Adding money alone does not send the payment.
What about fees and processing times?+
Review any fees and payment details shown by the checkout provider before approving. Processing depends on the payment method and provider. A payment can remain pending while it is being processed; check your activity for its status.
My payment is pending. Should I try again?+
Check the existing payment and your mobile money account before making another payment. A pending status means there isn’t a final result yet. Keep the transaction reference if you need help.
Help with a pending paymentWhere can I receive money?+
A sender can choose your KAB PAY wallet or your Ghana mobile money account. For mobile money, share your registered account name, number, and network. These details identify you as the recipient; the sender approves from their own funding account.
Which mobile money networks are listed?+
The app lists MTN, Telecel, and AT for Ghana mobile money recipients. Availability and processing depend on the provider. Select the recipient’s correct network when sending.
How do I create and share a payment request?+
Open Pay / Request in KAB PAY, choose Request, enter the amount and any note, then share the generated link or QR code. You can send the link through your usual messaging app. Confirm the result in KAB PAY before treating it as paid.
Can I use KAB PAY in my browser?+
Yes. Select Open app to use the KAB PAY web app. Camera scanning and passkeys depend on your browser and device permissions. The public website explains the features; account and payment actions happen in the app.
Open the appCan I sign in with a passkey?+
On a supported device and browser, you can register a passkey in your account settings and use it to sign in. Keep your regular account details available when setting up a new device.
Where can I see my payment history?+
Open History in the app to review your activity. Check the transaction’s amount, currency, reference, and status when following up on a payment.
What information should I keep if I need help?+
Keep the transaction reference, amount, currency, approximate date, and status. Never share your password, mobile money PIN, one-time code, or full card details in a support message.
