KABPAY.

How it works

Less figuring it out.
More getting it done.

A guide to setting up your account, moving money, using face payments, and collecting with your vendor tools.

Get started
01

Make yourself at home.

Open KAB PAY and create an account, or sign in if you already have one. Complete the verification steps shown in the app.

Use an email address you can access. On a supported device, you can set up a passkey from your account settings.

02

Choose how you’ll pay.

Add money to your wallet using the checkout options available to you, or choose mobile money when making a payment.

Not enough in your wallet? Choose Add money or Pay with mobile money. A top-up does not automatically send your payment.
03

Use your wallet.

Check your available balance and selected currency. Use Top up to add money or Withdraw to request a payout to a mobile money or bank account.

Wallet balances are separate by currency. Changing the selected currency does not convert money between balances. Mobile money payments currently use GHS.

04

Pick the person. Check the details.

Find a KAB PAY recipient or enter the recipient’s mobile money details. Set the amount and currency, and choose your funding source.

Review the confirmation carefully. For mobile money checkout, follow the approval instructions using your own mobile money account.

05

Give someone a way to pay you.

Share your wallet details or mobile money number. You can also open Pay / Request, choose Request, enter an amount, and create a payment request.

Share the generated link in a message, or show the QR code. Check the request’s status in KAB PAY to see the result.

06

Get to know face payments.

In Account → Security, open Face payments and enroll with consent. Create a six-digit payment PIN. At the vendor terminal, complete the live face scan, review the charge, and confirm with your PIN.

The terminal requires sufficient wallet funds. Payment settlement is currently limited to demo accounts.

07

Open your vendor tools.

Turn on Accept payments in Account settings to reveal Terminal. Enter a charge amount, let the customer identify themselves and approve with their PIN, and check the receipt before a new charge.

You can also share payment requests through a link, QR code, or request code.

08

Keep the details close.

Search recent activity or open History. Filter by sent, received, top-ups, or withdrawals, and check the amount, currency, status, and reference. Send again fills in an eligible previous payment so you can review it as a new payment.

If a payment is pending or checkout closes unexpectedly, check your activity before paying again. Keep the reference if you need help.
